Pictures don t do this car justice. Its a crowd pleaser!!! It is finished in Basecoat/ Clearcoat Black and House Of Kolors Lime Time Pearl that was laid on smooth and slick. Not only is the paint slick, but the body is straight and has had perfect changes to make it look sleek and mean. The hood and decklid were shaved to clean things up and a billet grille was added.

A full frame off restoration was performed to this car several years ago and it has been used sparingly since completion. This car is drop dead gorgeous and attention to detail shows throughout. Finished in a glossy medium blue metallic paint with a matching heavy flake silver, purple and black interior. The finish has a gloss that has to be seen to appreciate. The underside is just as nice, and everything was replaced or rebuilt. The car features power rack and pinion steering and power disc brakes up front with drums out back. Motivation comes from a 350 Chevy with a mild cam and a 4 speed manual transmission. Other features include a polished Edlebrock intake, polished aluminum water pump, polished pullies, chrome brackets, polished valve covers and air intake, chrome alternator, MSD distributor and 6A box, chrome horns AIR CONDITIONING, Chrome 5 spoke mag wheels, all new chrome and stainless trim, all new glass and rubber seals and weather stripping. The trunk is finished off with a black rug, tuck and roll inserts, battery relocated to the trunk mounted in a custom box, custom door sill plates and aftermarket multi speaker stereo. The car goes down the road flawlessly and can be used for long trips or around town with no worries. This is a very high end build that will not disappoint. Air Conditioning

2004 chrysler pt cruiser review this car review is specific to this model, not the actual vehicle for sale. New turbos bring affordable power. introductionthe chrysler pt cruiser has become a familiar sight. The cruiser combines the retro looks of a late-1930's american sedan with modern styling and features. It made a big splash when it was introduced as a 2001 model. That was back in march 2000, and chrysler has been selling more than 135,000 of them a year. In spite of this, the pt cruiser still attracts attention. People are intrigued by the cruiser's difficult-to-define character. Chrysler says the pt cruiser is too cool to categorize. It boasts the interior volume of a sport-utility vehicle. Pull the rear seats out and it'll haul a load of building materials or a big tv box. Yet it's shorter in length than many compact cars, making it easy to park. It's also easy on gas.  adding to the fun is the driving experience. The cruiser is based on the dodge neon, a compact car noted for sprightly performance. New turbo models add fire under the hood. The gt (aka pt turbo) features a 220-horsepower engine that gives the cruiser a real boost. We also like affordability. On the downside, the pt cruiser has all the refinement of a compact car.  new features are available for the 2004 models to enhance the cruiser's sophistication. An optional power convenience group 705) adds remote keyless entry, automatic power central locking, and power exterior mirrors, and cruise control. The gt also comes with side-impact airbags and most of the limited edition's luxury goodies. A new option for 2004 is sirius satellite radio, which is offered on all models. The cost of the receiver 325) includes a one-year subscription. Also new for 2004 is uconnect, chrysler group's hands-free, in-vehicle communications system 360), which uses bluetooth technology to link the user's cellular phone with the cruiser's stereo speakers. Appearance packages include woodgrain exterior accents, the chrome accent group (expanded for 2004), and the chrome-and-leather dream cruiser 3. walkaroundthe chrysler pt cruiser blends the retro look of a late-1930's american sedan with new-age styling cues such as dual-beam flush headlights and teardrop-shaped taillight lenses. But that's not all there is to the pt cruiser. The shape is intriguing, but underneath is a modern platform with front-wheel drive.  by exterior dimensions, the pt cruiser is quite compact. It's nearly 6 inches shorter than a neon subcompact. Yet with 63 inches from pavement to the highest point of its roof, the cruiser is also 7 inches taller than the neon, and nearly as tall as some minivans. That height is a crucial element of the pt cruiser's design.  the gt is distinguished from the other models by its chrome exhaust tips, larger grille and air intakes, and a spoiler on its liftgate; however, the spoiler 150) is an option on the other models. interiorthe pt cruiser pulls its exterior styling themes into the cabin with painted inserts on its t-shaped symmetrical dashboard. The driver faces three white-faced gauges set in individual cylinders, with speedometer center, tachometer right and fuel and water temperature left. The gt's silver-faced speedometer reads up to 140 mph, while the standard cruiser's speedo goes to 110.  accessory switches are concentrated in the center panel, with radial-type climate control dials. The door levers have a nice action, and the switches operate with good tactile feel, though they're not world class. The stereo sounds tinny. Also, there's a separate set button for the station presets, fussier than simply holding the preset down.  a bonus of the cruiser's tall profile is its upright seating position, with a fairly high view ahead, somewhat like a sport-utility vehicle or minivan. The front seats in the three lower-line models have a reasonable amount of bolstering to keep driver and passenger from sliding side to side. The gt also features a chrome-spoked, leather wrapped steering wheel, and chrome pedals.  roominess is a virtue in the cruiser. Its 121. 5 cubic feet of interior volume is comparable to that of large cars such as the mercedes-benz s-class or lincoln town car. Much of that space is a function of the cruiser's height. The roof rises toward the rear like on a chopped-top hot rod.  to take advantage of this, the rear seat bottoms are higher than those in front, resulting in what what the industry calls theater seating. The front seats are mounted on tall boxes, leaving plenty of room for rear passengers to stretch their legs underneath. A six-foot, nine-inch passenger can fit comfortably in the front or rear seats.  chrysler claims the pt cruiser's cabin can be configured 26 different ways. This flexibility stems from three features: a 65/35 split rear bench that can be folded flat, tumbled forward or removed; a movable parcel shelf; and an available front passenger seat that folds flat. The rear seats are anchored with quick-release attachments for easy removal. Suitcase handles and steel wheels make it easier to stash them in the garage and move them about. The smaller seat weighs 35 pounds, but the larger section weighs a hefty 65 pounds. The cruiser can provide up to 64 cubic feet of cargo volume. Still, a mountain bike doesn't really fit without removing the front wheel, removing the rear seats, or both. Seatbelts should always be worn, however, and the pt cruiser comes with three-point safety harnesses at all positions, including the rear center position. The front belts have pyrotechnically charged tensioner. driving impressionthe pt cruiser is fun to drive. In essence, it's a tall, practical economy car, but the pt cruiser goes relatively quickly. The standard engine is rated at 150 horsepower and 165 pounds-feet of torque. This is enough power to propel. 2005 gmc sierra review this car review is specific to this model, not the actual vehicle for sale. Denali luxury now with crew cab room. introductionthe gmc sierra is nearly identical to the chevy silverado but features more mature, restrained styling. With their 5-foot, 8-inch cargo box, sierra crew cabs are no longer than standard-bed, extended-cab models for easier parking and maneuverability. The 1500hd crew cab, which returns for 2005 after a one-year hiatus, can tow up to 10,200 pounds. Even the plush denali tows 8,100 pounds.  yet all sierras deliver a smooth, comfortable ride among the full-size pickups. Even compared to more recently introduced or re-engineered pickups from ford, dodge, and nissan, the sierra rides and handles very well. Although nominally classified as light duty or 'half-ton' trucks, the 1500s offer payloads ranging from 1,215 to 2,040 pounds, and tow ratings from 4,100 up to 9,000 pounds, depending on equipment. That's all the truck most consumers will ever need.  engine choices include a 4. 3-liter v6, 4. 8-liter v8, and 5. 3-liter v8. Available only as a crew cab with a 6-foot-6-inch bed (instead of the standard 1500 crew cab's 5-foot-8-inch bed), the 1500hd hauls 3,073 pounds with 2wd, 2,766 pounds with 4wd, and tows 10,200 pounds. Power is provided by the same 6. 0-liter v8 that's used in the 2500hd/3500; but the 1500hd should ride more smoothly than the heavy-duty trucks.  base models come with abs, air conditioning, cruise control, am/fm/cd audio, an attractive chrome grille molding, a chrome rear step bumper, and 17-inch chromed steel wheels. Carpeting and cloth seats are also standard. Regular and extended cabs are available, but not the crew cab, base prices range from $21,045 to $31,270.  the w/t (work truck) model deletes the cd player, chrome, cruise control and carpeting. These plane-jane trucks are aimed at commercial and municipal fleets, with prices ranging from $18,770 to $29,540.  sle trim adds fog lamps; power windows, mirrors, and door locks; a leather-wrapped steering wheel; overhead console; and other amenities. Leather upholstery is optional. The 4. 8-liter v8 and automatic transmission are standard on regular and extended cabs; crew cabs come with the 5. 3 and automatic. Prices range from $25,755 to $34,140.  slt trim, available on extended cabs and crew cabs, adds automatic dual-zone air conditioning, leather upholstery, power-adjustable bucket seats with heat and memory, floor console, heated outside mirrors, new gen6 onstar telecommunications and 17-inch aluminum wheels. The 5. 3-liter v8 is standard, with a higher-performing, all-aluminum 5. 3 in 4wd extended cabs. Denali comes with tone-on-tone leather, extra sound deadening, a bose audio system with separate controls for rear-seat passengers, and other exclusive amenities. It's equipped with steering wheel controls for the audio system, gen6 onstar, trip computer, and other programmable functions. Quadrasteer reduces sierra's curb-to-curb turning diameter by 26 percent and enhances high-speed stability. It comes packaged 1,995) with a limited-slip differential, heavy-duty brakes and clearance lights. walkaroundthe front styling of the gmc sierra ties it closely to the mid-size gmc envoy, and to some of the great gmc pickups of the past. The chrome-framed grille consists of three black horizontal bars that prominently display a big red gmc emblem. Chromed front bumpers include two airflow cutouts. Up-level models have a body-colored lower front fascia; base models have a light-charcoal fascia. An optional grille/brush guard adds front-end protection. A single onstar roof antenna combines the gps and cell-phone functions.  compared with the chevrolet silverado, gmc's styling is more conservative, more mature, with smoother, more sophisticated lines. Its chromed mesh grille looks like something from a hot-rod shop. Projector-beam headlamps and unique front fascia and fog lamps add up-market distinction, along with body color on the door handles, side moldings, tailgate handle, outside mirrors, rear bumper and tonneau cover. Chrome running boards with integral mud guards further distinguish the denali from other sierras.  for 2005, nearly all sierras come with 17-inch wheels: painted steel on work trucks, chromed steel on base and sle, aluminum on slt and polished aluminum on denali. The only exceptions are the 1500hd and the hybrid, which make do with 16-inch rims. Denali models are available with 20-inch wheels for a stronger styling statement.  the load height (the distance from the ground to the bed) for 2wd sierra models is just 31. 6 inches. For 4wd models, it's 33. 7 inches. The frame rails are hydroformed, a process that uses high-pressure hydraulics to shape relatively large steel components. Tubular crossmembers and roll-formed mid-rails increase rigidity further. This stiff structure enhances handling and ride quality immensely, while improving crashworthiness. interiorthe gmc sierra cab remains among the roomiest in the industry, with large door openings to aid entry and exit. The seats are big and cushy. Other pickup owners find the gm seats more to their liking. Also, the interior door handles are ropey and awkward.  the instrument cluster features highly legible gauges with white backlighting and orange pointers. The denali's gauges are unique and feature blue backlighting and white pointers. A driver information center reports on as many as 27 vehicle functions with an easy-to-read, single-line lcd display. A compass is incorporated into the overhead console, along with three storage areas for sunglasses, garage door opener, and small items.  audio and climate controls are sophisticated, yet easy to operate. The system comes with am, fm1, fm2, xm1, and xm2 bands. Steering wheel-mounted audio controls (on slt and denali) make it easy to switch among station presets and modes. Onstar is the leading provider of in-vehicle safety, security and information services in the united s. 2005 scion tc review this car review is specific to this model, not the actual vehicle for sale. This little rocket was developed in only 13 months with a single purpose in mind.  the scion tc means to make mincemeat of the honda civic that is so popular with gen y drivers by offering a single, very well equipped model at a nearly unbeatable low price and a menu of options that will allow owners to built cars unique to their tastes.  the engine is quiet, smooth, and plenty powerful. The steering, ride quality and handling are commendable. Braking is powerful, with abs and electronic brake force distribution standard. This car is surprisingly quiet, the interior materials are first-rate, and attention to detail is evident. The bucket seats are comfortable and there's enough room to suit tall drivers. A 160-watt stereo is standard, and a full array of airbags is available.  this is perhaps the best small japanese coupe we have ever driven, at a price that is ridiculously low. lineupthe scion tc hatchback coupe 15,950) comes only one way, with no model name attached. (they apparently couldn't call it xc because volvo already uses xc90 for its sport utility). It comes with all the major comfort and convenience items built in, including air conditioning, power steering, brakes, locks and mirrors, a tilt wheel, a 160-watt pioneer 6-cd changer am/fm setup, sport bucket seats with cloth seating and position memory, two-tiered console, reclining front and rear seats, keyless entry, engine immobilizer, cargo cover, and a dozen other items.  there are only two factory-installed options, the automatic transmission at $845 and the side and roof air bag system for $650. To make the car more palatable to more people, scion has chosen a menu of 40 different freestanding options, more than any other car in its class, ranging from a $4500 supercharger kit good for 200 horsepower to a selection of different chrome and leather shift knobs. Special toyota racing development (trd) high-performance items for the scion tc include 18- and 19-inch wheels, a lowering kit, struts and shock absorbers, rear anti-roll bar, a high-performance clutch, a quick shifter, a stainless steel muffler, and a shift-point indicator light kit. Toyota's high-performance arm is already working on a 300-horsepower package of parts for the lunatic fringe. walkaroundthe look of the scion tc is one of purposeful performance. It's not blatant, and it doesn't come with spoilers, rocker moldings or wings, but all the ingredients are there. The standard panorama glass roof is an unexpected bonus in this price class, fitted without gaskets for a tight, no-creaks fit. It filters 97 percent of uv rays and 100 percent of infrared, to avoid damage to occupants.  the doors are quite long for such a small car, and the door handles of the reach-around-and-pull variety that we like. The long rear side window suggests a two-door sedan more than a hatchback coupe, and makes the design flow from front to rear gracefully. The tc is the first purpose-built scion, the other two having been developed from concept vehicles, and although it is inexpensive, it is anything but cheap. interiorinside the scion tc, there are lots more positive surprises. Materials are first-rate, there aren't a whole lot of different grains and textures, and the swoopy brushed-metal center stack housing vents, sound system and climate control system, is a marvel of modern design. Very comfortable, with enough fore/aft adjustment to suit very tall american drivers regardless of age. The driver's and shotgun seats can be reclined all the way down into what scion calls a 'sleep' position, and the rear seats recline through 10 stops and 45 degrees of recline to convert the interior into a conversation bin. With seats up, there's more than 26 inches of cargo length there; with the second seats dropped, almost 60 inches; and with the front passenger seat folded over, almost 104 inches of cargo length available.  there are lots of convincing little touches indoors, like the mechanical seat position memory on the front bucket seats, the 60/40 split folding rear seat, the very decent amount of storage space with the seats down, the dead pedal for the driver's left foot, fully closing vents, and a cover for the stereo system's faceplate. The three-pod instrument panel is amber-illuminated, deeply tunneled and easy to use, day or night, as are the balance of the instruments and controls. driving impressionthe engine in the scion tc has been around in one form or another as a car and truck powerplant for many years, continuously improved for power, torque, and toyota levels of quietness and reliability. It comes with electronic variable valve timing for good low end torque development, and twin balance shafts for smoothness. Tuned to 160 horsepower and 163 foot-pounds of torque for this application, the engine is quiet, smooth, and plenty powerful in a 2900-pound car, and at full throttle, it sounds powerful without being intrusive, because it has a valved muffler that opens up at high rpm and can be worth as much as 5 horsepower.  the transmission gearing in the automatic that we drove for this test is wholly unsuitable for bigtime acceleration, with an overall ratio of just over 10:1 (the first-gear ratio times the axle ratio), while the manual is almost 50 percent lower, almost 15:1, for maximum acceleration in first gear. However, the automatic does move out smartly, it's obviously much easier to live with in gooey traffic, and will get significantly better highway mileage than the manual, which is saddled with a very low 4. 235 axle ratio. No complaints on the powertrain.  the steering, ride quality and overall handling of the scion tc were commendable, in part due to its 106-inch wheelbase, longest in the class. It steers with a hefty touch, but accurate pointing, and transitions are easy and without drama. That's because the tc has low-cost macpherson strut front suspension coupled with an expensive independent double-wishbone rear suspension not found on many cars in this price class. Bridgestone potenza tires originally developed for the hot-rod lexus is 300 are standard.  braking is accomplished with a combination of ventilated front and sold rear discs, 10. 8 inches front and 10. 6 inches rear, generously sized and quite powerful for a car this light, with both abs and electronic brake force distribution built into the standard price. All it takes is money. There's nothing missing. Bucket Seats✔ AM/FM✔ Climate Control✔ CD Changer✔ Air Conditioning

2009 acura tsx review this car review is specific to this model, not the actual vehicle for sale. All-new sport-luxury sedan. introductionwith the 2009 tsx, acura has done a full remake of its entry-luxury level sedan. More than just bolting a slick new body on an old platform, the tsx is new from the ground up, as in, longer, wider and lower. In a couple measures, it's roomier, too.  technology is what sets the new tsx apart. Acura's superb navigation system comes standard and can be operated using voice-recognition. The standard navigation system is the equal of anything in the class, while an optional system displays real-time traffic with congestion re-routing and local and national weather. The top-line audio system sets a standard for the class, too, with superbly crisp surround sound. It comes with one engine, a 2. 4-liter inline-4, and a choice of transmissions, a six-speed manual and a five-speed sportshift sequential automatic. Although horsepower is off slightly, torque is increased by enough to make up any difference in sheer acceleration. Just as important, fuel economy is unchanged with the manual and improved with the automatic. The tsx stays with a front-wheel-drive configuration, whereas true sporty sedans are rear-wheel drive. That said, the tsx is one of the better-handling front-wheel-drive sedans and in its class, hard to beat as an everyday driver that can still be fun on a mountain road.  styling stays true to acura themes for 2009, but cleans up here and there to give the car a more aggressive, more buff look and to emphasize its more planted stance. The wider part, where it adds a couple inches between the wheels side to side, translates directly into a sportier driving feel.  everything inside that matters is powered, including the adjustments on both front seats. Dual-zone climate control and heated seats and outside mirrors are standard. The navigation system adds a rearview camera, acuralink real-time traffic (in 76 major metropolitan markets) with dynamic re-routing, acuralink weather and acuralink satellite communication system.  acura-approved, interior and exterior accessories are available from dealers. For inside, the list includes dark metallic and titian silver interior trim kits, trunk tray, trunk hooks, cargo organizer, and cargo net. Among those for the outside are 18-inch, 10-spoke, chrome-look or ebony-finish alloy wheels to replace the stock 17-inch aluminum alloys; backup sensor; wheel locks; sport bumper kit; rear bumper applique; deck lid spoiler or wing spoiler; moonroof visor; car cover; and nose mask.  safety features include a full complement of airbags to protect occupants front and rear in frontal and side impact crashes. Rear outboard seats provide anchors (latch) for child safety seats. Antilock brakes let the driver steer the car during emergency stops, brake assist boosts initial brake pressure in panic stops and electronic brake-force distribution apportions brake application between front and rear to optimize stopping distance. Electronic stability assist, coupled with traction control, adjusts brake and throttle to keep the car going where it's supposed to go through evasive or avoidance maneuvers or when road conditions deteriorate. The '09 tsx is no exception to that rule. Although it stretches the mold a bit, as it should, there's still no mistaking it for anything but one of honda's luxury line.  the front end nicely blends elements from acura's other two sedans, the sporty tl and the more serious rl, and from the mdx sport utility. The headlight housings, for instance, with their squinty lenses curling around the front fenders to reach deep into the arcs of the front wheelwells, look like a direct lift from the tl. The elongated, pentagonal chrome bar topping the similarly outlined grille pulls from both the mdx grille and the single bar slicing across the grille on the current tsx. The gaping lower air intake is a new design cue and shaves visual mass from what might otherwise be an overpowering front bumper while adding function by pumping needed cooling air into the engine compartment and reducing front end lift. Hood sculpting defines the tsx's centerline and front fenders.  the side view departs a bit more from the family look, but keeps just enough of the cues to stay true to its design dna. This is especially evident in the side lenses of the headlight and taillight housings and the silhouette of the trailing lip of the trunk lid, all of which closely mirror the '08 tsx. In much sharper relief, though, are the sculpted character lines in the door panels. These add visual bulk and combine with edgy wheel arches remindful, again, of the mdx to make a stronger statement about the car's sporty aspirations. Door handles embedded in the upper crease give the view a cleaner look.  the rear aspect, sad to say, suggests of recent toyota camrys more than of the previous tsx in its overly busy styling. A deeply cut horizontal line slices straight across the rear vertical of the trunk lid, itself looking almost concave against the gently convex vertical of the '08. Taillights bridge the seam between trunk and fenders as before but bracket a license plate recess that's inverted from the '08 tsx, visually pushing the trailing lip higher and seeming to add sheet metal across the lower reaches of the trunk lid. The rear bumper cups the trunk opening with unflattering sedan like bulk, which makes the hot rod-spec dual exhaust tips look a little lame. interiorliking the new acura tsx interior is easy. It's comfortable without being plush, sporty without being sparse. Communication between driver and car is, for the most part, open and easy and unabridged.  the front seats are supportive, with enough side bolstering for reasonably rambunctious motoring on twisty roads. The front seat passenger still gets shortchanged with no height adjustment, which leaves even taller people feeling as if they're sitting in a hole. The three inches tacked onto the tsx's width went mostly to more padding for side impact protection, but front-seat hip room is up by a solid inch.  the rear seat is more like a bench than twin buckets, and space for the lower extremities is snug, measuring by the tape a mere one-tenth of an inch roomier than the '08. This despite the addition of more than two inches to the '09's overall length and almost an inch and a half to its wheelbase. Rear head restraints adjust for height, which is a plus for its occupants, although that even when at their lowest position they obstruct the visibility out the back window from the inside rear view mirror is a minus. The steering wheel sports push buttons and toggles controlling more than a dozen functions, not counting the horn, making it look like it would be just as comfortable in a jet fighter cockpit as in a car. This may be just fine for fighter pilot walter mittys who fantasize about mixing it up with the other side's top guns, but for the rest of us, who just want to drive the car, it's a bit much. The center stack, however, with either the base sound and navigation system or the optional technology package, is one of the more intuitively arranged that we've seen, with large, finger-friendly buttons and a reasonably easy-to-learn multi-function joystick-like knob for the multi-layered information center-cum-map screen. The high-end audio setup does force the relocation of the cd changer down into the bowels of the center stack, where it's not as easily accessed as with the base system, which parks it at the top of the stack, but that's a minor complaint, and one that won't even show up on the technophiles' radar.  storage is more than adequate. Every door has a molded-in space for a water bottle, the front doors room for the proverbial map, although given a navigation system is standard, think guidebook or cds. The glove box has a partitioned nook for the owner's manual and associated booklets, leaving the rest for smallis. 2009 hyundai sonata review this car review is specific to this model, not the actual vehicle for sale. Economical midsize sedan improved for 2009. introductionhyundai sonata gets a host of revisions for the 2009 model year. It comes with cloth upholstery, air conditioning, cruise control, power heated outside mirrors, power windows, central locking with keyless remote, am/fm/cd/mp3 stereo with six speakers, xm satellite radio, tilt steering wheel, 60/40 folding rear seat, and 215/60r16 tires on 16-inch steel wheels. The popular equipment package 650) adds automatic headlights, chrome window belt moldings, upgraded interior accents, power driver seat with adjustable lumbar support, steering wheel audio controls and a trip computer. The premium package 1,650) for se adds an upgraded am/fm/xm/6cd/mp3 audio system with six speakers, subwoofer and component amplifier; power tilt-and-slide sunroof; and an electrochromic auto-dimming rear view mirror with homelink and a compass.  the limited 23,970) adds leather seating surfaces, heated front seats, automatic climate control with filtration, the top-line audio system, electrochromic auto-dimming rear view mirror with homelink and compass, door sill trim and a sunroof. A chrome grille, chrome-accented exterior door handles, and bodyside moldings identify limited from the outside. Wheels and tires are the same size as those on the se, but use a different tread pattern. The limited v6 25,670) is similarly equipped. A new voice-activated navigation system is available 1250).  safety features on all sonatas include dual-stage front-seat airbags; front-seat side-impact airbags for torso protection; and full-coverage side curtain airbags designed to provide head protection. Antilock brakes (abs) with electronic brake-force distribution (ebd) and electronic stability control (esc) with traction control also come standard, as does a tire-pressure monitor. walkaroundalthough it's just a couple of years old, the hyundai sonata has been given a mild facelift for 2009. The front fascia remains refreshingly clean and spare, with sharply angled headlight housings and a deeper, clean-cut grille topped with a sliver of chrome. Wide and deep openings beneath the front bumper provide a home for tightly focused fog lamps and visually pull the front end closer to the ground, while directing cooling air into the radiator. The striking, concave hood reduces the car's perceived mass without cramping the engine compartment.  the side treatment avoids the all too common wedge look with an almost horizontal beltline riding above softly shouldered fenders and door panels. Mirrored z-seams where the end corners of the bumpers meet the quarter panels add interest, while blacked-out window surrounds play down the tall side glass. The flat-flanged rims on the up-level 17-inch wheels suggest a high-end european import more than an affordable asian nameplate.  the taillight outlines repeat the headlight shapes and bookend a broad, trapezoidal license plate inset; the backup light portion of the lens is smaller but output is the same. Again, there's a hint of other cars' architecture, most notably segment heavyweights like the camry, accord, and malibu. Sporty, california hot rod-idiom dual exhausts mark the v6-equipped versions.  the hyundai sonata continues to refine its signature design cues, the sculptors looking in the right places without offending conservatism. interiorthe 2009 sonata interior is a significant step forward from the previous model, although housed in the same cabin space. It is judged a large car by epa size standards and is the largest among midsize sedans in terms of interior volume.  the cabin feels more integrated, with new flowing lines for 2009. A tapered center stack rolls gently off the dash into the center console, replacing the blocky look of the previous dash. The overall look is competitive with most in the class and reminds us of some nissan and acura interiors. Materials seem to have more depth, as even the hard plastic trim common on lower door and console panels looks better.  lighter materials frame the vents and center stack. The center stack houses the clock, audio and navigation systems, and climate controls. There's also a sizable bin that holds 10 cd jewel cases above the ashtray ahead of the shifter. Splashes of trim grow from the console outward mid-height on the dash and are mirrored on the doors; on cars with woodgrain trim the shifter gets a slice of the same material. The largest is the speedometer, to its left is the tachometer, to its right conjoined water temperature and fuel gauges. In the lower dash to the left of the steering column is a bank of five switch plugs, only two of which are employed in the u. Version; one is an on/off for the esc (electronic stability control), the other the dash-light rheostat. Beyond that is a flip-down storage bin. The ignition key slides into a slot placed where it should be, in the dash to the right of the steering column instead of on the steering column itself, easier and more elegant when starting or shutting off the car.  for 2009, the limited model is available with a voice-recognition navigation system. Redundant controls for the audio are to the lower left-side of the hub. On the other side of the hub are the standard cruise controls, with a helpful cancel function. All stalk functions are straightforward and require no adaptation.  outward visibility is good, although some will find the wide c-pillars constrict quick, over-the-shoulder traffic checks for lane changing. Rear side windows roll all the way down, thanks to small, fixed, rear quarter windows that move the windows' rear tracks forward in the door, ahead of the wheel well. There's a roof-mounted, hinged assist handle inside every door.  seats are comfortable, with adequate bolstering fo.
