Period perfect 1929 ford roadster pick-up. Finished in black lacquer with a red leather interior and contrasting white top and bed cover, this hot rod looks like a time warp to 1959. The car has a period patina look that hasn't be recreated, its the real deal!! What isn't painted in dripping in chrome. It's sitting on 32 duec rails that are all boxed with a 4 inch chrome drop axle and juice brakes all around with chrome backing plates in front. Power comes from1950 mercury flathead motor that has been ported, polished, and relieved. A 3/4 isky cam, old school edmund heads, mallory electronic ignition, edlebrock single 4bbl, and custom headers. Power then goes through a 1947 ford 3-speed transmission on the tree and then a 1947 ford rear end with air shocks and air pump for raising or lowering and a smooth ride while cruising. She sits on 5:50x15 wide whites front l60s x 15 wide whites on the back. Magazines features include street rodder , rolls & pleats, and twisted pin ups to name a few. She has attended shows throughout florida including the well know turkey run, and was even featured at nascar driver mark martins musem in new smyrna beach florida!! The car also comes with a hood and hood sides (not pictured) that are louvered as well and louvered frame covers. We also have a 3 deuce set up if interested.

Burt was already delivering ice cream from a motorized vehicle when he had the idea to place chocolate covered ice cream bars on a stick. His new good humor ice cream "sucker" was easy and clean to eat, which gave him the idea to sell it directly from his truck to consumers on the streetice cream sold in parlors or stores became a luxury item during the depression. But ice cream trucks such as burt's good humor brand where able to survive the depression due to the product's low-cost. Many consumers couldn't afford big ticket items, but they could afford a nickel for an ice cream treat. During this time, vendors began offering economical items such as twin popsicles that parents broke in half and shared with two children. Good humor trucks and other branded businesses had new competition during the depression: the street peddler was back with cheap treats made with questionable sanitation practices. But most peddlers were unable to survive the sugar rationing during world war ii. Redline restorations sales is proud to offer this fantastic and very fun 1931 ford model a good humor ice cream truck for sale. Built several years ago, this truck has been very well cared for and enjoyed by the current owner. The restoration was a full frame off effort and still shows very well for a vehicle that has been used sparingly. Starting with a 1931 model a “wide body” pick up, for extra inches in width to fit the ice cream box, every nut and bolt was disassembled and rebuilt or replaced with factory correct parts. The box was built with technical information help directly from good humor (bryers) and completed pictures of the truck are now in their historical library. The ice box has been upgraded from the original dry ice cooling to refrigeration using 2300 lb plates and a compressor. The truck runs perfect and everything works as they should. It starts right up and shifts smoothly though all the gears. All the factory lights and the accessory lights on the box work perfect. This truck needs absolutely nothing but for a new owner looking to have a lot of fun. If so desired it could easily be put back into commercial service or used as a promotional tool.
